Lucky was a man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. A veteran of the 2nd Field Regiment Royal Artillery, he served his country with honour and distinction. Among his commendations, he was awarded the General Service Medal, and it is believed he was also a recipient of the George Cross—one of the highest honours for bravery in the face of extreme danger. These accolades speak not only to his courage but to the depth of his character.
Yet beyond the medals and military service, Lucky was a devoted husband and a proud father. He was a man who loved deeply, rode freely, and stood firmly by those he called brother. His presence brought warmth, his humour brought light, and his spirit brought unity.
His love for the road was matched only by his love for the brotherhood. Whether leading a ride or sharing a quiet moment at a stop, Lucky embodied the values we hold dear—respect, honour, and camaraderie. He reminded us that this club is more than patches and engines; it is a bond forged in loyalty and lived through shared roads and shared memories.
As we ride in his memory, we carry with us not only the sorrow of his absence but the strength of his legacy. His final resting place at Granvilles Woods in the Midlands is now a sacred waypoint on our journey—a place where we remember, reflect, and renew our commitment to each other.
Patched into our chapter in 2023, Brother Lucky quickly became more than just a member—he became a part of our family. His time with us, though far too brief, left a lasting impression on all who rode beside him. His passing on 11 July 2023, following illness, was a profound loss that continues to echo through our ranks.
Rest in peace, Brother Lucky. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.
